As an **AI infrastructure company** that owns and operates each layer of the stack (from electrons to tokens), we’re solving power and compute bottlenecks for the world’s most ambitious AI workloads. ### About the Role Every model Crusoe trains and every cluster we bring online depends on data moving at the speed AI workloads demand—starting with the **network underneath it**. We’re building a **storage network** engineered specifically for **lossless, low-latency performance** using a dedicated plane running on **RDMA**, distinct from the general compute network. We’re hiring a **Staff Network Engineer** to **architect and own this network end to end (spine to leaf)**. This is not a maintenance role—it’s an opportunity to design the backbone of Crusoe’s storage infrastructure from the ground up, set the standard for how it runs, and serve as a deep technical authority as we scale. ### What You’ll Be Working On - **Architect and operate** the storage network end to end (spine to leaf) - Make the **core design calls** that shape how Crusoe’s storage infrastructure performs at scale - Act as the **first and deepest line of defense** when a cluster fabric isn’t behaving (trace packets through the switch pipeline, read per-switch configuration, and find root cause fast) - Go beyond the switch layer when needed—into the **OS network stack, NIC drivers, and software layers** - Build **automation and tooling** so debugging, monitoring, and operations at scale become a system—not a scramble - Partner closely with **SDN and Network Edge** teams to bring software-defined thinking to a historically manual space - Bridge two domains that haven’t had a dedicated connection before—translate **network reality into storage context**, and **storage needs into network architecture** ### What You’ll Bring to the Team - **Battle-tested L2/L3 networking experience** running production switches under real pressure - Strong **scripting and debugging instincts** to chase issues down to the **TCP/IP level** > Note: The provided description appears truncated after “A sense of…”.
