## Software Engineer, ML Serving Platform ### About the Team DoorDash's ML Serving Platform delivers **tens of millions of predictions per second**, powering search, recommendations, advertising, delivery estimates, and logistics across DoorDash, Wolt, and Deliveroo. ### About the Role Help build the next generation of the ML serving platform, connecting request routing and online feature retrieval with model inference on CPU and GPU infrastructure. Own defined projects from technical design through production support, partnering with internal teams to understand modeling requirements and turn open source advances into production improvements. ### Key Responsibilities • Empower modelers through self-serve infrastructure and tools • Bring open source innovation into production at scale • Solve demanding inference infrastructure problems • Evolve disaggregated serving architecture • Improve Kubernetes deployment and autoscaling • Build integrations and migration tooling • Own performance and reliability in production ### Requirements • 2+ years of software engineering experience building production services • Strong CS fundamentals and proficiency in Java, Kotlin, Go, C++, or Python • Understanding of distributed systems (concurrency, networking, failure handling) • Experience debugging production systems • Degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience ### Nice to Have • ML inference infrastructure or online feature retrieval experience • Kubernetes and containerized workload experience • Self-serve developer platform or API building experience • Open source infrastructure integration experience • CPU/GPU performance profiling or inference runtime familiarity ### Compensation **Base Salary:** $130,600 – $192,000 USD Includes equity grants, 401(k) matching, 16 weeks paid parental leave, comprehensive benefits, and flexible PTO. *Applications accepted on an ongoing basis*
