**VistA Developer** **About the Role** Accenture Federal Services is seeking an experienced, detail-oriented **Veterans Health Information Systems and Technology Architecture (VistA) Developer** to support a challenging integration and health information exchange project using **InterSystems Caché, Ensemble, VistA, and HealthShare**. **Work You’ll Do** - Deploy, update, and manage **test VistA instances** across multiple cloud-deployed environments. - Support development teams using deployed VistA systems (primarily development: design, development, coding, and validation). - Apply strong knowledge of **SDLC**, **Veteran-focused Integration Process (VIP)**, and **VistA**. - Communicate professionally with clients, stakeholders, partners, subcontractors, and vendors. - Escalate key issues with recommended solutions; participate in architecture enhancements and enterprise/maintenance releases. - Scope and define development activities aligned to program roadmaps, releases, and sprints. **Here’s What You Need** - **Bachelor’s degree** (Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, or other technical discipline). Equivalent experience may substitute. - 5+ years analyzing customer needs and defining concept/design objectives. - 5+ years creating software across programming languages and IT applications. - 5+ years debugging and correcting errors in computer programs. - 5+ years with **VistA deployment and patching** (OS level up). - 5+ years with formal **SDLC**, particularly **Agile**. - 5+ years with **Intersystems** stack (**IRIS, Caché, Ensemble**). - 5+ years developing **APIs, RPC**, and clinical application code using **Caché MUMPS** or **Caché ObjectScript (COS)**. - 5+ years with **XML, XSLT, JSON**, or other data formats. - 5+ years working in an **Agile Scrum** development environment. - 5+ years engaging stakeholders (features, knowledge sharing, tool/process guidance). - 5+ years in analysis, problem-solving, and troubleshooting. **Preferred** - Experience with **HL7** messaging and standards. - Ability to manage multiple tasks independently with minimal supervision. - Understanding of **HealthShare** and **IRIS**. - Experience translating design mockups/prototypes into working applications. - Solid understanding of **version control**. - Experience with **TDD**, CI/CD, and automated testing. - Ownership mindset and ability to drive tasks to completion. - Experience in fast-paced development environments. - Federal Government experience (preferably **VA**). - Knowledge of **VA patch and release process** for VistA. - Experience with **VIP framework**. - Health care industry experience. - Experience with **GitHub**. **Eligibility Requirement** - **U.S. Citizenship required** **Pay Transparency (Base Range)** - **$78,600 – $160,200 USD** (for the listed locations: CA, CO, CT, HI, IL, ME, MD, MA, MN, NJ, NY, OH, VT, VA, WA, and DC) *Note: Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis; no fixed deadline is stated in the provided description.*
