About this role

**Everpure — Technical Lead, FlashBlade//EXA** **The Role** As the Performance Technical Lead for FlashBlade//EXA, you will define and own the end-to-end performance narrative for Everpure’s exascale disaggregated storage architecture built for AI factories. You’ll bridge systems performance engineering, benchmark architecture, and competitive intelligence to establish how //EXA is engineered, proven, and positioned against leading competitors in HPC and hyperscale AI infrastructure. You’ll partner with engineering, product management, and field sales to drive architecture evaluations and showcase Everpure’s leadership in high-throughput workloads. **What You’ll Do** - **Architect and Define Performance Roadmaps:** Translate storage protocol expertise (NFSv3 direct-to-DN, pNFS, S3) into technical performance requirements for //EXA’s disaggregated data path—addressing GPU-starved read patterns, metadata storms, and bursty HPC workloads. - **Drive Strategic Market Alignment for GPU/Sovereign Cloud:** Align //EXA’s performance roadmap, sizing guidance, and reference architectures with buying criteria and operational needs of multi-tenant GPU-cloud and sovereign-cloud operators. - **Establish Competitive Performance Technical Positioning:** Produce rigorously substantiated architectural analyses (e.g., metadata scaling, durability tradeoffs, GPU-direct paths) to support field engineering during customer evaluations and POCs. - **Optimize Stack-Wide Tuning and Benchmarking:** Lead end-to-end performance validation across storage, RDMA networking, and compute. Build reproducible benchmark suites (MLPerf Storage, IO500, elbencho) to validate claims and demonstrate market superiority. - **Define Multi-Tenant QoS and SLA Guarantees:** Establish technical requirements and validation frameworks for QoS, workload isolation, and IOPS limits to deliver predictable SLA commitments in shared deployments. **What You Bring** - **Storage Performance Architecture Expertise:** Proven storage performance engineering across file, block, and object protocols (parallel filesystems, pNFS/NFS at scale, S3-scale object stores). - **GPU Cluster & Fabric Knowledge:** Working knowledge of GPU cluster architecture, including RDMA fabrics, GPUDirect Storage, checkpoint/restore dynamics, and resolving bottlenecks across compute/network/storage. - **Benchmarking & Load Generation Mastery:** Proficiency with MLPerf Storage, IO500, and tools like elbencho, fio, and vdbench—plus the ability to design custom, workload-representative tests. - **Competitive Analysis & Systems Design:** Ability to perform architecture-level competitive analysis and strong understanding of multi-tenant resource management (QoS, rate limiting, workload isolation). - **Cross-Functional Technical Leadership:** Comfort navigating complex technical discussions across the full stack—from debugging low-level network queue stalls to articulating system capabilities to customer evaluation teams. - **Location:** Primarily **in-office**. Expected to work from the **Santa Clara, CA** office (unless on PTO, travel, or other approved leave). **#LI-ONSITE** **Compensation (Base Salary Range)** - **$239,000 – $359,000 USD** **What You Can Expect From Us** - **Innovation:** Think critically, embrace challenges, and be a trailblazer. - **Growth:** Support to grow and contribute to meaningful work. - **Team:** Collaboration and setting aside ego for the greater good. **Perks & Benefits** Flexible time off,
