**Graham Capital Management, L.P. — Quantitative Trading and Research Operations Developer** Graham Capital Management ("Graham") is an alternative investment manager founded in 1994, specializing in discretionary and quantitative macro strategies. The firm is seeking an early-career developer to join the **Quantitative Trading and Research Operations** team within the broader **Quantitative Strategies** department. --- **Role Overview** Support the Quantitative Strategies department by developing, maintaining, and refactoring code used in research and trading—especially to improve the **reliability** and **maintainability** of existing programs. You will work closely with researchers and follow established development and code review processes, including regular interaction with the firm’s **Quality Assurance Committee**. --- **Responsibilities** - Partner with Quantitative Strategies to develop, maintain, and improve code supporting research and trading - Review, refactor, and update legacy programs to meet coding standards and improve reliability, maintainability, and computational performance - Provide ongoing maintenance and support for existing systems and newly developed tools - Develop and maintain test cases to validate code changes and help prevent errors and system failures - Follow established development and code review processes, working regularly with the Quality Assurance Committee and incorporating feedback from senior leaders across Technology and Data - Analyze system financial and computational performance and execute trades - Support engineering initiatives related to trading system implementation, computational resource utilization, build/deployment processes, containerization, and evaluation of cloud computing --- **Requirements** - Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field - Strong **Python** skills - Strong program design fundamentals and refactoring experience - Knowledge of **CI/CD** process - Comfortable working in the command line on **Unix** - Comfortable using **version control** (e.g., Git) - General familiarity with **PowerShell** - Familiarity with **SQL** and other enterprise database structures - Excellent interpersonal and communication skills - Coursework in **cybersecurity** is a plus - Familiarity with **cloud compute** and general infrastructure design is a plus - Knowledge of **R** and **MATLAB**, and familiarity with writing test cases, is a plus - Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment --- **Location / Schedule** - Requires commuting into the **Rowayton, CT** office **Mondays through Fridays**. --- **Compensation & Benefits** - **Base salary range:** **$90,000 to $125,000** (does not include discretionary bonus or benefits) - Eligible for a **discretionary annual bonus** - Benefits may include medical and life insurance, **401(K)**, and other healthcare programs - Paid vacation and sick leave --- **Equal Opportunity** Graham is committed to equal employment opportunity for all applicants and employees.
