Reddit’s Infrastructure organization builds and delivers the compute orchestration environment, storage and data systems, and essential platform services behind all of Reddit—spanning **Compute, Storage, Messaging, Transport, Core Platform, Ranking Platform, SRE, Security, and Compliance**. --- ## Why this role matters Reddit is undergoing its most significant infrastructure modernization in company history. You’ll help drive simultaneous efforts across **30+ platform teams**, including: - Migrating off legacy clusters - Standing up intent-based compute environments - Evolving storage and messaging platforms - Scaling ML serving to GPU - Expanding to multi-region serving This role acts as the connective tissue—keeping complex infrastructure programs on track, dependencies visible, and execution aligned to a shared long-term strategy. --- ## What you’ll do Own and drive programs across the full breadth of Reddit’s infrastructure stack, partnering deeply with engineering teams as a technical peer. You’ll bring programs to completion while balancing risk across frontend, backend, and revenue-producing teams. Key expectations: - **Get Things Done:** Deliver real business accomplishments and help teams understand what “done” means. - **Dive into Details:** Work in the specifics with technical judgment to guide planning and decisions. - **Make Work Repeatable:** Create/improve processes to reduce recurring toil and raise quality. - **Leverage AI to Improve Program Outcomes:** Use AI/LLM-assisted tooling to automate reporting, improve cost anomaly detection, accelerate analysis, and enhance workflows. - **Mentor & Lead:** Support others informally and lead within the Program Management org. - **Bring Order out of Chaos:** Leave teams stronger than you found them. --- ## Who you are - **8+ years** combined experience in engineering and program management roles - Strong technical depth and judgment (e.g., **Kubernetes, storage engines, Kafka/messaging, ML serving infrastructure, deployment pipelines, CDN/traffic management, data platform architectures**) - Strong **Technical Program Management** skills (scoping, scheduling, long-term planning, coordinating across dozens of teams, managing complex dependencies) - Proven track record driving large-scale migrations and deprecations in cloud environments - Strong communication and influencing skills (including cost narratives to Finance and engineering leadership) - Experience with observability/data platforms (e.g., **Grafana, BigQuery, Hex, Looker**, or similar) for cost reporting and alerting - Demonstrated experience using **AI/LLM tooling** to improve program management workflows or engineering productivity - Team-player mindset; proactive, curious, pragmatic, and iterative --- ## Benefits (highlights) - Comprehensive healthcare benefits + income replacement programs - 401k with employer match - Global benefit programs (workspace, professional development, caregiving support) - Family planning support - Gender-affirming care - Mental health & coaching benefits - Flexible vacation + paid volunteer time off - Generous paid parental leave --- ## Pay transparency (US) Base salary range: **$194,600 — $
