## Senior Manager, Engineering — Crusoe Crusoe is on a mission to accelerate the abundance of energy and intelligence. As a vertically integrated AI infrastructure company, we own and operate each layer of the stack—from electrons to tokens—to power the world’s most ambitious AI workloads. We’re looking for a **Senior Manager** to lead multiple charters within our **Developer Experience (DevX)** team. You’ll own key developer tools and infrastructure used across all of Crusoe engineering—especially our **AI remote agent platform**, a suite of **standard agents** (coding, reviewing, maintenance/upgrades), and support for our **coding harnesses**. --- ### What You’ll Be Working On - **Engineering Acceleration:** Partner across the org to build “paved paths” engineers love—fast, reliable, and broadly adopted. - **Toil Elimination:** Identify and automate away friction and repetitive work that slows development. - **Library & Environment Creation:** Build libraries, tools, and pre-production environments for vetting service APIs and complex microservice interactions. - **Ecosystem Integration:** Unify internal tooling and vendor services to automate workflows, improve operational efficiency, and optimize security. - **Culture of Quality:** Lead continuous quality delivery that scales with engineering headcount and infrastructure. - **System Optimization:** Build efficient systems and processes that multiply the impact of every engineer. --- ### What You’ll Bring to the Team - **Experience:** Prior experience leading multiple DevX charters, including managing other managers. - **Technical Decision-Making:** Strong ability to evaluate tradeoffs and understand how infrastructure impacts developer productivity. - **Modern Tooling Proficiency:** Familiarity with AI tooling, build tooling, containerization, and open-source development frameworks. - **Workflow Empathy:** Passion for building empathetic developer/operator workflows that prioritize human productivity. - **Cloud-Native Expertise:** Experience managing/developing in **Kubernetes** clusters and deep understanding of container orchestration. - **DevOps & Reliability Background:** Experience in DevOps, SRE, release engineering, or similar productivity-focused disciplines. - **Testing Infrastructure Knowledge:** Deep understanding of automated testing infrastructure and CI/CD integration. - **Language & Version Control Mastery:** Expertise in modern programming languages (**Go**) and strong Git-based workflows (**GitLab/GitHub**). - **Education:** Bachelor’s or Master’s in CS/Engineering/Math or related field (or equivalent experience). **Bonus Points** - Strategic vision and technical insight that supports long-term company objectives - Experience building AI agent platforms for engineering teams - Hands-on Linux image construction and package building - Automation mindset for solving complex problems and automating the solutions --- ### Benefits - Competitive compensation and equity (RSUs) - Paid time off, paid holidays, and leave programs - Comprehensive health, dental & vision insurance - Employer contributions to HSA - Paid parental leave - Professional development & tuition reimbursement - Mental health & wellness support - Commuter benefits, cell phone stipend - 401(k) match up to 4% of salary - Volunteer time off - Global travel insurance & emergency assistance - Daily meals allowance - Additional location-specific perks --- ### Compensation Range Up to **$250,000–$300,
