## Lead Automation Architect ### Responsibilities - Own the target-state automation architecture and document key design decisions - Provide technical direction: mentor architects/engineers, lead cross-functional design sessions, and communicate with technical and executive stakeholders - Lead architecture reviews across the portfolio and document tradeoffs, dependencies, and implementation standards - Drive process analysis to identify, prioritize, and roadmap automation opportunities - Ensure automation solutions are scalable, secure, maintainable, and aligned to business/mission strategy - Architect and implement secure automation solutions across Federal Financial environments, including **air-gapped infrastructure** and **AWS GovCloud** - Develop and enforce **Infrastructure as Code (IaC)** strategies using **Ansible** and **Ansible Tower/AWX** - Architect and optimize **CI/CD pipelines** using **Jenkins** for repeatable, secure, reliable deployments - Design automation for server provisioning, configuration, patching, lifecycle management, and decommissioning across **RHEL** and **Windows Server** ### Work Location - **Remote** ### Qualifications **Basic Qualifications** - **U.S. Citizenship** required; ability to obtain and maintain required **Public Trust** clearance - **Bachelor’s + 16 years** experience, or **High School diploma/equivalent + 20 years** experience - **15+ years** building and automating secure infrastructure across Federal Financial programs - Specialization in **Infrastructure as Code** with **Ansible** - Experience engineering **CI/CD pipelines** with **Jenkins** - Continuous monitoring with **Splunk** for **RHEL/Windows Server** in **air-gapped** and **AWS GovCloud** environments - Experience with **Ansible / Ansible Tower / AWX** - Proven Linux and Windows server administration experience - Experience automating decommission/provisioning workflows - Willingness to undergo a **pre-employment credit check** (as required) **Preferred Qualifications** - Experience with **ServiceNow** and **ARIA** ### Peraton Overview Peraton is a next-generation national security company delivering trusted solutions and transformative enterprise IT for government missions across land, sea, space, air, and cyberspace. ### Target Salary Range - **$135,000 – $216,000** (typical range; final offer depends on factors such as scope, experience, education, location, and contract considerations) ### EEO Equal opportunity employer, including disability and protected veterans, or other characteristics protected by law.
