**Waymo — 2027 Summer Intern (MS/PhD), Perception, Robotics** Waymo is an autonomous driving technology company with the mission to be the world’s most trusted driver. Within Perception, the Sensing Resilience team ensures sensors “just work” for the self-driving car software stack—through calibration, consistent monitoring, and deploying sensor data alignment and calibration systems. **You will:** - Help scale sensor calibration algorithms to support many different hardware architectures by developing the next-generation calibration system - Develop, evaluate, and deploy new initiatives for the next-generation calibration system - Evaluate and deploy ML-based calibration systems in new areas not yet covered in the literature - Collaborate with experienced colleagues across hardware, software, and operations to deploy real-world robotic systems **You have:** - Enrollment in a MS/PhD program in Computer Science, Robotics, or a similar technical field - Experience in C++ **We prefer:** - Experience deploying software as part of a complex system - Experience calibrating multi-sensor robotic systems - Experience evaluating and deploying ML systems **Note:** This will be a hybrid onsite internship position.
