## Anduril Industries — Mission Software Engineer (Mission Systems, Networking) ### About the Team Air Dominance & Strike (AD&S) is responsible for autonomous robotics systems like the Fury unmanned fighter jet and the Barracuda family of advanced effects. The AD&S Mission Systems Software team builds the distributed infrastructure that connects these vehicles to command and control—developing the messaging, orchestration, and networking backbone that ties individual vehicles into coordinated, multi-vehicle operations. ### What You’ll Do - Own resilient, distributed mission software from concept through live operations - Build services that integrate with Lattice OS - Coordinate fleets of vehicles in the field - Task and manage mission payloads and effects - Support AD&S initiatives from early concept simulation to large-scale fleet management ### Required Qualifications - BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or related field - Ability to diagnose and root-cause complex networking/routing failures in multi-hop networks - Ability to read packet captures and use standard network debugging tools (e.g., tcpdump, Wireshark) - Experience with end-to-end testing of unicast and multicast data flows - Strong networking fundamentals: TCP/UDP, sockets, MTU, multicast, TLS/mTLS - Experience with timing protocols such as NTP and PTP - CCNA (or equivalent experience) - Comfortable working in a Linux environment - Experience with `systemd` - Familiarity with Kubernetes and container orchestration - Experience with Git and GitHub - 2–3+ years using C++, Rust, or an equivalent mid-level language - Ability to travel up to 30% to build, test, and deploy capabilities in the real world - Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance - Track record of high ownership and bias for action ### Preferred Qualifications - Experience building/maintaining distributed systems (message buses, RPC frameworks, consensus protocols, or similar) - Familiarity with asynchronous programming models (async/await, event loops, futures) - Comfort working with Protocol Buffers and/or gRPC - Experience with Linux FRR - Active Secret U.S. security clearance ### Compensation & Benefits - **US Salary Range:** **$166,000 — $220,000 USD** (base salary estimate; equity and benefits may apply) - Anduril offers a comprehensive benefits package (health, recovery, and more).
