**Anduril Industries — Senior Software Engineer (Rust), Intelligence Systems** **About the Team** Anduril Intelligence Systems (AIS) supports Intelligence Community (IC) customers by understanding requirements, shaping concepts of operation, and delivering specialized engineering and products to address critical national security needs. **What You’ll Do** - Architect, maintain, and evolve complex software systems—refactoring existing codebases to improve performance, maintainability, and scalability. - Develop high-performance Rust software for real-time systems, from tactical implementations to simulation environments and decision support tools. - Apply software design patterns and architectural best practices to manage technical debt and guide the evolution of production systems over time. **Required Qualifications** - 3+ years of production-grade Rust experience in a Linux development environment - Experience building software solutions involving significant data processing and analysis - Experience with network protocols and strong networking fundamentals - Ability to quickly understand and navigate complex systems and established codebases - Desire to work on critical software with real-world impact - Active U.S. Secret security clearance (or ability to maintain it) **Preferred Qualifications** - Experience with embedded platforms - Experience refactoring and modernizing Rust codebases in production environments - Track record of architectural decision-making and technical leadership on long-lived projects - Contributions to open-source Rust projects or the broader Rust ecosystem - Experience with concurrent and parallel programming patterns in Rust **Compensation (US Salary Range)** $191,000 — $253,000 USD *Note: Range is an estimate based on multiple compensation factors (base salary only).
