About this role
**GCP Cloud Engineer** Accenture Federal Services is seeking a **Google Cloud Platform (GCP) Engineer** to support federal agency modernization by building, deploying, automating, and maintaining **secure, efficient cloud environments**. Working under a lead architect, you’ll provide hands-on implementation and operational support across a variety of cloud projects. ## What you’ll do - Build and maintain **secure, agency-aligned GCP operations** that meet compliance requirements for federal frameworks. - Use **Infrastructure as Code (IaC)** with **Terraform** to create reusable modules and enforce secure configurations. - Perform hands-on work across **compute, networking, security, and automation**. - Support operational excellence through **monitoring, logging, and tracing**. - Create and maintain technical documentation such as **architecture diagrams, runbooks, and SOPs**. ## What you need - **6+ years** setting up, configuring, and using **GCP cloud operational tools** to meet service level agreements (SLAs), performance targets, and ongoing compliance. - **Bachelor’s degree** in computer science, engineering, or a technical discipline. - Experience with **GCP core services**, including: - **Compute Engine** (Linux/Red Hat and Windows VM environments) - **GKE** for containerized application deployment, management, and scaling - **Cloud Run** for serverless applications (notably Python-based services) - **Cloud networking architecture**: VPC, DNS, Load Balancing, hybrid connectivity, and network security (firewall rules/policies) - **IAM** expertise, including **custom roles/policies** and **Workload Identity Federation (WIF)** - Additional required services: **Secret Manager, Pub/Sub, VPC Service Controls, VM Binary Authorization** - Experience with **IaC and automation**, including: - Strong **Terraform** skills for reusable module development - CI/CD pipeline development and troubleshooting using tools such as **Cloud Build** and **GitHub Actions** - Operations and troubleshooting experience, including: - Advanced troubleshooting across complex cloud systems (performance, network connectivity, GKE, IAM permissions) - Ability to implement and manage monitoring/logging/tracing ## Pay range (where applicable) Base pay range for the listed locations: **$105,600 – $150,300 USD**. *Note: Compensation varies based on factors such as location, role, skill set, and experience.
