This role focuses on agentic identity and standards-based access so agents can authenticate, access resources, delegate authority, and operate within clear, auditable boundaries. --- ## The Opportunity We’re looking for a **Product Architect, AI** to help define how Auth0 and Okta lead the market in: - Agentic identity - Secure AI application development - Standards-based access for agents This is a senior, highly strategic, and deeply hands-on role working across Product, Engineering, Security, Developer Relations, Design, Go-to-Market, and the customer community. --- ## What you’ll be doing - Define and evolve Auth0’s strategy for building, operating, and securing AI agents and agentic applications - Shape product and technical strategy for agentic identity (authentication, delegated authority, trust, auditable boundaries) - Define approaches for securely exposing protected resources (APIs, tools, data services, MCP servers) to authorized agents - Partner with Product and Engineering to turn opportunities into product bets, architectural principles, requirements, and durable platform capabilities - Help design (and sometimes implement) core identity capabilities for agent-to-resource and agent-to-agent interactions - Develop an informed perspective on emerging technologies and standards (e.g., MCP, agent-to-agent protocols, agentic commerce, delegated authorization, agent identity standards) - Stay ahead of the AI landscape and distinguish durable shifts from hype—articulating implications for customers and developers - Identify industry shifts early and communicate a clear point of view internally and externally - Work directly with strategic customers to understand AI + identity architectures and validate product direction - Collaborate with Security, Legal, Privacy, and Trust to ensure capabilities are secure, responsible, compliant, and usable in enterprise environments - Represent Auth0/Okta through technical content, speaking, standards participation, customer conversations, and open-source engagement - Build prototypes and reference implementations using Node.js, React, Python, and Go - Partner with Developer Relations and Go-to-Market to make complex concepts approachable - Raise the technical bar via mentoring, documentation, and architectural pattern clarity --- ## What you’ll bring - Significant experience in product architecture, technical product management, software architecture, platform engineering, developer platforms, or similar leadership roles - Experience building and shipping AI-powered applications, agentic systems, developer tools, or developer platforms - Deep expertise in identity and authorization standards (OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, workload identity, token exchange, delegated authorization, API authorization) - Strong understanding of securely designing access to APIs/tools/data/services in distributed systems - Practical familiarity with the emerging agent ecosystem (MCP, agent-to-agent interactions, tool invocation, agent identity/authorization/delegation/consent/auditability) - Ability to develop strategy in ambiguous
