You’ll work with other engineers, data scientists, and healthcare professionals to build tools that improve the health of real people. ### Responsibilities - Simplify the complexities of healthcare by building systems that multiply human efforts. - Build and maintain production software implementing healthcare interoperability standards such as **FHIR** and **HL7**: - Develop and test APIs, services, and data pipelines that work with FHIR resources and HL7 messages. - Translate standards and implementation guides into code, data models, validation logic, and automated tests. - Preserve clinical meaning and data quality as information moves between systems. - Master new tools and technologies to solve problems and move goals forward. - Help define and maintain development practices that let us iterate quickly while maintaining quality (including writing tests and documenting key implementations). - Work with Product Managers and operational staff to develop new features. --- ## You should get in touch if - You have hands-on experience building production software with **FHIR** and **HL7**. - You have 5+ years of software engineering experience and experience with **Python, JavaScript, or Go**. - You can write SQL queries in **Postgres, MySQL, BigQuery, Snowflake**, or other database systems. - You’re comfortable working as a data engineer cleaning, normalizing, and improving data quality. - You can create and call **RESTful APIs** (experience with **gRPC** is a plus). - You have experience working with cloud services such as **GCP** or **AWS**. --- ## You’ll love this job if - You’re excited by big, complicated problems and solve them with pragmatic, well-engineered solutions—driven by **curiosity**. - You enjoy a **fluid, collaborative** environment: defining and owning priorities, bringing clarity to ambiguity, and staying open-minded. - You’re not hesitant to jump in to fix what’s broken and take responsibility for building sustainable systems. - You have a genuine interest in what good technology can do to help people and a positive attitude toward hard problems in an important industry. --- ## Benefits overview - **Financial well-being:** Competitive base salary and equity; performance-based bonus; regular compensation reviews. - **Physical well-being:** Comprehensive group medical coverage (hospitalization, outpatient care, optical, dental). - **Mental well-being:** No-Meeting Fridays, company holidays, access to mental health resources, generous annual leave; remote-first culture. - **Professional development:** Learning programs, mentorship, professional development funding, and regular feedback/reviews. ### Additional perks - Reimbursement for office setup expenses - Flexibility to work from home with global teams - Paid parental leave for all new parents - And much more! --- ## About Counterpart Health Counterpart Health is a subsidiary of Clover Health.
