**DevSecOps Engineer (Mid)** **About the role** Accenture Federal Services is seeking a **DevSecOps Engineer** to support **software assurance** across a federal agency’s development pipeline. You’ll help design and operate a **secure DevSecOps environment**, integrating **security testing** and **compliance automation** throughout the software development lifecycle—so security is built in from the first commit. **What you’ll do** - Analyze and review user needs, software requirements, and technical design documents to develop solutions for **automated compliance** and **security posture management**. - Apply **Agile DevSecOps** practices using a **plan-code-build-test-release-deploy-monitor** approach for new and modified applications. - Implement **CI/CD security gates** to ensure software is secure prior to production deployment. - Identify gaps in the agency’s cybersecurity baseline and recommend defense functions such as **encryption**, **access control**, and **identity management**. - Develop code that integrates with **API-driven security technologies** to automate security tasks and reduce human error. - Perform integrated **quality assurance testing** for security functionality and resiliency; track defect dispositions and resolutions. - Support **SAST/DAST** and coordinate remediation of findings with development teams. - Maintain documentation for **CI/CD security architecture** and pipeline artifacts (design + SOPs). **What you need** - **US Citizenship**; **3+ years** related experience; **BS degree** (or **4 years** additional experience as a substitute). - **Minimum 5 years** experience in areas such as system administration, database administration, network engineering, software engineering, or software development with a **Cyber Security concentration** (or a bachelor’s degree plus **3 years** in the same disciplines). - Experience with **secure SDLC**, **CI/CD security integration**, and **SAST/DAST**. - Familiarity with **Agile/Scrum** delivery. **Nice to have** - Hands-on experience with modern **CI/CD toolchains** (e.g., GitLab CI, Jenkins, Azure DevOps) in a **security-gated pipeline**. - Scripting proficiency in **Python, Bash, or PowerShell** for security automation. - Familiarity with **container security** and **cloud-native application security**. **Required certifications** - No task-specific certification is mandated for this role; **CompTIA Security+ (or equivalent)** is recommended. **Pay range (where applicable)** - **$65,900 – $126,000 USD** *Note: Compensation varies based on factors such as location, role, skill set, and experience.
