**Deployment Lead, FDE - SF** **About the Role** Own technical delivery of complex AI systems to customers. Translate business outcomes into technical plans, run day-to-day execution across FDEs and customer teams, and drive deployments from 0→1 through scale. Embed with customers to map workflows, ensure on-time shipping, and lead adoption. Track progress, manage dependencies, and share field insights to guide product roadmap. **Key Responsibilities** • Own technical delivery plans for multiple interdependent work streams with clear milestones and dependencies • Run day-to-day engineering execution and keep progress unblocked across OpenAI and customer teams • Embed with customer teams to land production deployments and drive adoption • Partner with Product and Research to align platform components with deployment goals • Codify solution patterns and extract reusable patterns from field signals • Own value cases, set KPIs, and measure pre-/post-deployment impact • Shape engagement with Financial Services customers **You'll Thrive If You Have** • 7+ years of customer-facing technical delivery leadership • Track record leading large, complex, high-stakes customer engagements (ideally AI-related) • Ability to work in high ambiguity and simplify complex, dynamic work • Strong technical fluency with sharp sequencing instincts • Experience shipping AI/LLM systems and understanding production patterns • Executive presence and ability to translate technical trade-offs for business leaders • Willingness to be onsite with customers 25-50%+ of the time **Location & Travel** San Francisco (hybrid, 3 days/week in office). Up to 50% travel required. Relocation assistance available.
