Cerebras works with leading model labs, global enterprises, and AI-native startups. ### Role The **Datacenter Provisioning Engineer** is responsible for **provisioning, commissioning, and validating** network infrastructure, servers, and related systems across **large-scale data center deployments**. You’ll partner with engineering teams, data center technicians, vendors, and operations to bring new sites and infrastructure online **quickly and reliably**. ### Responsibilities - Provision and configure **network devices, firewalls, and servers** using documented processes, provisioning frameworks, and automation tools. - Troubleshoot and resolve issues across **server, network, configuration, automation, and connectivity** during provisioning and service bring-up. - Coordinate deployments with engineering teams, technicians, cabling vendors, and rack integrators to ensure **timely site readiness**. - Support **network, power, and mechanical commissioning**, including testing and validation of connectivity, device configurations, server readiness, and dependencies. - Develop and continuously improve **provisioning processes, tooling, and automation** for repeatable, scalable deployments across multiple sites in parallel. - Perform **post-deployment validation** and integrate with monitoring/alerting/operational tooling to meet production-readiness requirements. - Coordinate handoff of deployed infrastructure to **Operations & Maintenance (O&M)** teams (Cluster Ops, Network Ops, Site Ops). - Document deployment procedures, troubleshooting findings, lessons learned, and process improvements. ### Requirements - **Bachelor’s degree** in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field. - **5+ years** relevant experience in network device/server provisioning, data center infrastructure, SRE, or related. - Strong hands-on experience provisioning and troubleshooting across **compute, networking, OS, configuration, and automation** layers. - Proficiency in **Python** and **shell scripting**; experience using automation to streamline deployments. - Proficient with **Linux**. - Hands-on experience with at least one major cloud platform (**AWS, GCP, or Azure**) and **Kubernetes** (deployment, scaling, troubleshooting, cluster management). - Experience with **Infrastructure as Code (IaC)** and configuration management—especially **Terraform** and **Ansible**. - Strong fundamentals in **PXE, DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, load balancing, VPCs, firewalls, VLANs, LACP, BGP, OSPF**. - Experience upgrading **server firmware, switch OS, and PDU firmware**. - Strong problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and documentation skills; ability to work effectively across engineering, operations, field, and vendor teams. - **20% travel required**, including international. ### Location **Norway | Finland | Toronto | Sunnyvale** ### Why Join Cerebras People who are serious about software make their own hardware.
