In our hybrid early career program, you’ll be paired with a tenured Affirmer and have an opportunity to collaborate in-person **3 days a week** out of our **New York City** or **San Francisco** offices. After the one-year program, you can remain hybrid, go remote, or stay in an office. --- **What You’ll Do** - Work on tasks that contribute to your team’s projects and goals. - Collaborate proactively with your team and stakeholders; create visibility and dialog around risks and trade-offs. - Balance speed and quality to meet business goals while protecting systems from downtime. - Engage in growth and development activities to build community on your team. --- **What We Look For** - You can take a simple problem or business scenario into a solution that interacts with multiple software components, delivering clear, well-tested, extensible code. - You’re comfortable navigating a large codebase, debugging others’ code, and providing feedback through code reviews. - You take ownership of your growth by proactively seeking feedback from your team, manager, and stakeholders. - Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration with a global engineering team. - Requires either equivalent practical experience or a **Bachelor’s degree** in a related field. --- **Compensation (USA Pacific base pay range — SF)** - **$130,000 – $180,000** --- **Remote-first with flexibility built in** Affirm is remote-first. Most roles can be done from almost anywhere within the country of employment. Some positions may occasionally require in-person work at an Affirm office, and a few are office-based due to the nature of the work.
