Affirm is reinventing credit to make it more honest and friendly, offering consumers flexibility to buy now and pay later without hidden fees or compounding interest. **Hybrid Early Career Program (NYC / San Francisco)** - You’ll be paired with a tenured Affirmer. - Collaborate in-person **3 days a week** out of the **New York City** or **San Francisco** offices. - After the one-year mark, you can remain hybrid, go remote, or stay in an office. - Opportunities span different tech stacks and teams to help you find the right fit. **What You’ll Do** - Work on tasks that contribute to your team’s projects and goals. - Collaborate proactively with your team and stakeholders—creating visibility and dialogue around risks and trade-offs. - Balance speed and quality to meet business goals while protecting systems from downtime. - Engage in growth and development activities to build community on your team. **What We Look For** - You can take a simple problem or business scenario and turn it into a solution across multiple software components—writing clear, well-tested, extensible code. - You’re comfortable navigating a large codebase, debugging others’ code, and providing feedback through code reviews. - You take ownership of your growth—proactively seeking feedback from your team, manager, and stakeholders. - Strong verbal and written communication skills for collaboration with a global engineering team. - Requires either equivalent practical experience or a **Bachelor’s degree** in a related field. **Compensation (USA Pacific base pay range — NY)** - **$130,000 – $180,000** **Remote-first with flexibility built in** Most roles can be done from almost anywhere within the country of employment. Some positions may occasionally require in-person work at an Affirm office, and a few are office-based due to the nature of the work.
