Rowe Price, and other leading investors. **About the Role** Safety and redundancy are key requirements for the Nuro Driver™. In this role, you’ll contribute to our Parallel Autonomy System and Collision Detection System to protect passengers and other road participants from the unknown unknowns. You’ll be challenged to deliver utmost accuracy while meeting exacting latency requirements where millisecond counts. **About the Work** - Tackle a wide range of problems: ML-based perception across all sensor modalities (including audio), estimating object velocity and acceleration with high accuracy, onboard latency optimization, and tooling for large-scale data curation. - Partner with a tight-knit group of engineers focused on collision avoidance. - Design and implement a system spanning perception, planning, and control. - Contribute to validation methodology to validate systems required to achieve extremely high recall and precision on exceedingly rare events. **About You** - BS in relevant engineering fields (e.g., CS, EE, applied mathematics). - Strong coding skills in **C++**. - Experience deploying software in robotics products. - Willingness to sweat the details and strive for precision. **Preferred (Additional) Experience** - Deploying ML models in edge environments. - Developing state estimation algorithms for tracking applications. - Optimizing architectures to explore the accuracy vs. compute tradeoff. **Compensation & Benefits** At Nuro, base pay is one part of your total compensation package. For this position, the reasonably expected pay range is **$193,930.00–$291,150.00/year** (based on the level scoped). Base pay depends on factors including experience, qualifications, education, location, and skills.
