## Responsibilities Peraton is seeking an **IT Specialist** to support the **Special Operation Command Information Technology Enterprise Contract (SITEC)** — **3 Enterprise Operations and Maintenance (EOM) Task Order** at **Fort Carson, CO**. You will provide **Tier 1 and Tier 2** support for **network, systems, and phone** services in accordance with the **SIE OPORD**, including administration and troubleshooting of enterprise IT systems such as **routers, switches, VTCs, phones, laptops**, and related infrastructure. **Key duties include (but are not limited to):** - Create **monitoring reports** and manage **equipment logs**; ensure link functionality - Coordinate IT administration and performance requirements with networking and systems team members - Identify, analyze, and document **long-range requirements**; administer enterprise network resources - Develop **technical implementation plans** (actions, milestones, timelines, critical paths) - Research applicable standards to ensure **network compliance** - Provide reasonable responsiveness for IT performance (availability, reliability, throughput) - Prepare **activity and progress reports** for the Government - Provide full lifecycle support for **LAN/WAN** infrastructures - Perform installation, tuning, testing, operating, monitoring, upgrading, patching, and break/fix support for **routing/switching** hardware and software - Configure, operate, maintain, defend, troubleshoot, and repair LAN/WAN capabilities including: - Point-to-point circuits - Satellite connectivity - Dedicated and broadband Internet connections - Updates/additions to routers, switches, and encryption devices - Support **LAN Programs of Record (PORs)** and **Virtual LAN (VLAN)** architectures - Configure and maintain **classified and unclassified wireless LANs** (WAPs and wired interconnections) - Provision, operate, manage, and monitor **LAN/WAN VPN services** to securely connect remote elements and mission partners over SIE and shared public IP networks while complying with applicable DoD/DI A/DISA/USCYBERCOM/USSOCOM policies - Troubleshoot LAN/WAN voice/data/transmission networks and assess impact of architectural changes - Implement **network and security access** - Configure, update, monitor, manage, troubleshoot, and document routers and switches in USSOCOM LAN/WAN networks - Coordinate with external Government and commercial circuit providers to restore circuit outages - Provide **mobile device support** and **CSfC kit support** *Some positions may require shift work and/or the ability to work a non-standard schedule to support the USSOCOM mission.* --- ## Qualifications - **BS + 2 years** experience **OR** **HS + 6 years** experience **OR** **AA + 4 years** experience - **DoD TS with SCI required** - Solid technical skills with experience across network protocols, software, and hardware - Comprehensive knowledge of Government hardware, software, and network components - Strong troubleshooting, analytical/diagnostic skills, and communication abilities - **CCNA required** - Must be **DoD 8140 compliant** under **Work Role Code 411 — Technical Support Specialist (Intermediate level or higher)** --- ## Target Salary Range **$66,000 – $106,000** (typical range). Final compensation depends on factors including scope/responsibilities, experience, education, knowledge/skills, and geographic/business considerations.
