You’ll bridge the gap between software development and fleet orchestration—building the infrastructure that powers our robots **locally and in the cloud**. This role blends developer skills with platform operations experience to build tools, automation, and observability systems that keep robotic deployments **scalable, secure, and reliable**. --- ## What You’ll Do ### Tech you will use - **Languages:** Python, Terraform HCL, Node.js, Ansible - **Infrastructure:** AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform - **Fleet & Robotics:** OTA (Over-the-Air) software deployment systems, Observability tooling (e.g., Foxglove) - **Identity & Security:** Enterprise AuthN/AuthZ integrations - **Collaboration:** CI/CD (GitHub Actions), Jira/Confluence, Google Workspace ### Core responsibilities - **Platform Development:** Build and scale configuration management processes for our robotic fleet - **Infrastructure Automation:** Automate complex infrastructure processes, including enterprise-scale AWS account management and deployments - **Fleet Orchestration:** Design and maintain OTA (Over-the-Air) software deployment systems for seamless updates - **Identity & Access:** Support migration and management of enterprise AuthN/AuthZ for internal and external applications - **Observability:** Implement and enhance robotics observability tooling (e.g., Foxglove) to improve robot-to-cloud integration and monitoring - **Incident Management:** Develop automated incident reporting and escalation tooling to proactively identify and resolve production issues - **Collaboration:** Partner with product engineers to ensure the platform meets needs of both the fleet and interfacing applications --- ## Who You Are - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience). **2+ years** in production support, development, and DevOps practices - **The Hybrid Engineer:** Understand how product features and infrastructure interact; apply software best practices (reusable code, automated testing) to platform engineering - **Infrastructure Pro:** Proficient in managing cloud environments (AWS) and comfortable with multi-account deployment complexity - **Robotics Enthusiast:** Excited by moving data between robots and the cloud; hands-on experience or strong interest in remote robotics tooling (e.g., Foxglove, Rerun) - **Security-Minded:** Experience with Enterprise AuthN/AuthZ and secure identity management at scale - **Problem Solver:** Enjoy troubleshooting complex distributed issues; automate out of manual work --- ## Why You’ll Love Working Here - Daily free lunch - Flexible PTO - Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage - **6 weeks fully paid parental leave**, plus an additional **6–8 weeks** for birthing parents (**12–14 weeks total**) - 401(k) retirement plan through Empower - Generous employee referral bonuses --- ## Who We Are At Path Robotics, we love coming to work to solve interesting and tough challenges—and because our ideas are welcomed and valued.
