**Staff Software Engineer, Cloud Infrastructure** **About the Role** Join Airbnb's Cloud Infrastructure team, responsible for delivering and operating the foundational platforms and cloud environment powering Airbnb. You'll develop infrastructure that supports all teams across the company, focusing on reliability, scalability, efficiency, and high availability. **What You'll Do** • Innovate and build cutting-edge cloud-native infrastructure using public cloud technologies • Deliver secure, efficient, mature, and highly available frameworks and platforms • Optimize existing systems to boost performance and operational efficiency • Improve system availability through distributed systems best practices • Collaborate with talented infrastructure engineers on Airbnb's technological growth **What We're Looking For** • 10+ years of industry experience (BS/Masters) or 2+ years with PhD in CS or equivalent • Deep expertise operating Kubernetes at scale • Proven track record with large-scale technical projects • Expertise with AWS, GCP, or Azure IaaS offerings • Strong containerization and orchestration knowledge (Docker, Kubernetes) • Full-cycle developer mentality with distributed systems experience • Excellent communication and cross-team collaboration skills • Strong problem-solving and production debugging abilities **Location** US - Remote Eligible (must reside in approved states: AL, CA, FL, GA, IL, MN, MS, NV, NJ, NY, NC, OH, OR, PA, TN, TX, WA) **Compensation** $212,000 – $265,000 USD (plus bonus, equity, benefits, and Employee Travel Credits) **Airbnb's Commitment** Airbnb is an Equal Employment Opportunity employer committed to diversity and belonging.
