**Software Engineer, Data Infrastructure** **About the Role** Own the strategy and execution for all data at Cartesia. Build and evolve datasets powering cutting-edge research. Design scalable systems to acquire, process, and curate massive multimodal datasets while partnering with research and inference teams. **Your Impact** • Define multi-modal data strategy across pre-training and post-training (human, synthetic, web-scale sources with audio depth) • Design and operate scalable, high-throughput data pipelines for text, audio, and video • Partner with research and inference teams on co-designed data systems • Establish rigorous data quality standards with feedback loops to model behavior • Identify and source novel datasets; manage vendor relationships and budgets **What You Bring** • Hands-on ML data infrastructure experience (training pipelines, dataset versioning, large-scale data loading) • Working knowledge of multimodal data (audio formats, preprocessing, augmentation, storage/streaming) • Strong modern engineering execution with clean, tested code • Experience leading cross-functional efforts in fast-moving, research-driven environments • Familiarity with building/evaluating datasets for generative models **Details** 📍 **Locations:** San Francisco, London, Bangalore (in-person) 🌎 **Visa Sponsorship:** Available (case-by-case basis) **Benefits (US Employees)** Competitive salary + equity • Full medical/dental/vision • 9-12 weeks parental leave • 401(k) • Commuter allowance • Flexible PTO • Daily meals & snacks *Cartesia is an equal opportunity employer.*
