We're fully funded and committed to sustainable growth. **The Role** Join our data team as a Staff ML/AI Platform Engineer. You'll lead platform engineering efforts to productionize and scale AI/ML products, work closely with ML Engineers and Data Scientists, and help set the direction of our machine learning platform. **Key Responsibilities** • Design, prototype, and productionize scalable AI/ML models • Develop frameworks, pipelines, libraries, and tools for massive data processing • Build model deployment platforms and end-to-end reusable pipelines • Partner with ML engineers to optimize complex ML pipelines • Mentor junior data scientists and engineers • Collaborate with product managers on ML requirements • Establish best practices and direction for ML platform **Requirements** • 3+ years in ML platform systems • Experience with autoscaling, load balancing, and distributed computing • Production ML model integration experience • Strong shell/bash scripting and CI/CD pipeline skills • AWS expertise (Lambda, ECS, ECR, SageMaker, Fargate, EMR, Airflow) • Docker and infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation) • Strong CS fundamentals and data pipeline/ML library experience • Excellent communication and mentoring skills **Bonus Skills** • ML model building and training • Open source AI/LLM hosting • Feature stores and data stores (S3, Snowflake, DynamoDB) **Benefits** • Remote work with 3 office visits/year + company offsite (travel covered) • Competitive salary: $200,000 - $245,000 + performance bonus • Free therapy, wellness programs, and comprehensive health coverage • 401(k) with employer matching • Hardware/software for productivity **Location**: Remote (PST timezone operations)
