Join a diverse team of clinicians, engineers, product professionals, and business leaders. **The Role** We're seeking a Staff Machine Learning Engineer to join our Data team and drive impactful ML-driven initiatives. You'll design and build scalable machine learning and optimization models, partner with Data Scientists to productionize their work, and collaborate cross-functionally with Data Engineers, Software Engineers, and Product Managers. **Key Responsibilities** • Design, prototype, and productionize scalable ML and optimization models • Set best practices and define the direction of the ML platform • Develop frameworks, pipelines, libraries, and tools for massive data processing • Partner with data scientists to optimize complex data pipelines • Build model deployment platforms and end-to-end reusable pipelines • Mentor junior data scientists in production deployment • Work with product managers to gather ML requirements **Requirements** • 6+ years of ML experience • Proven track record deploying ML models to production • Strong expertise in deep learning, neural networks, statistical modeling, tree-based methods • Experience with personalization and recommendation systems • Knowledge of operations research (mathematical modeling, linear/integer programming) • Familiarity with LLMs, fine-tuning, and RLHF • Advanced proficiency in Python and SQL • Strong communication skills and mentoring interest **What You Won't Do** Worry about runway or funding • Be confined to your job description • Deal with office politics • Burn out (we value work/life balance) **Benefits** ✓ Remote work with 3x/year office visits to San Jose, CA ✓ Competitive compensation: $170,000 - $245,000 base + performance bonus ✓ Free therapy and wellness programs ✓ Excellent health, dental, and vision coverage ✓ 401k with employer matching ✓ Hardware/software to support productivity **Equal Opportunity Employer** | Teladoc Health Family
