With over 30,000 licensed therapists helping millions of people, we're committed to expanding access to therapy globally. **The Role** Join our engineering team to develop end-to-end features from design through deployment. You'll write clean, secure, maintainable code while collaborating with engineers, product managers, designers, and cross-functional partners. **Key Responsibilities** • Develop features from technical design through deployment and monitoring • Design and build internal/external APIs • Write and optimize SQL queries; design relational database schemas • Create and maintain complex backend services • Build experiences across mobile, tablet, and desktop • Contribute to code reviews and engineering practices • Ship thoughtfully in an agile environment with continuous deployment • Mentor and learn from teammates **Tech Stack** *Backend:* Linux, nginx, Laravel (PHP), MySQL, Redis *Frontend:* React, Next.js, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS/SASS **Requirements** • 3+ years professional web development experience • 3+ years SQL experience with relational schema design • Deep understanding of web development concepts • Full-stack project examples with frontend, backend, and database • Strong ownership mindset and ability to learn quickly • Experience with Git in collaborative environments • Web application, data, and SQL security knowledge **Education** • Bachelor's + 3 years experience, OR • Master's + 1 year experience, OR • PhD + 0 years experience **Bonus Skills** PHP/Laravel, React/Next.js, legacy system modernization, startup experience, healthcare/regulated industry background, mentoring experience **Benefits** • Remote work (U.S.-based) with sponsored in-person events • Competitive salary: $110,000 - $160,000 + performance bonus • Free therapy and wellness programs • Excellent health, dental, vision coverage • 401k with employer matching • Hardware/software for productivity **Work Environment** No funding worries, broad responsibilities, collaborative culture, sustainable work practices, meaningful impact on mental health access.
