## Platform Software Engineer – Digital Operations Platform **About the Role** Join BETA Technologies' Development Platform team to build and maintain internal platform services that empower software engineers across the organization. You'll enable citizen developers, contribute to the BETA OS initiative, and create solutions that make engineering, IT, and HelpDesk teams more efficient. **Key Responsibilities** • **Support Citizen Developers** – Enable non-traditional developers by supporting platforms like BETA Forge and AI-assisted coding tools, providing documentation and hands-on guidance • **Build Self-Serve Solutions** – Design internal platform services, APIs, and automation tooling for independent resource provisioning and management • **Contribute to BETA OS** – Participate in cross-functional efforts for consistent production delivery, shared release pipelines, and platform-wide standards • **Improve IT & HelpDesk Efficiency** – Develop tooling and workflow automations including ticketing integrations, onboarding/offboarding workflows, and self-service systems • **Support Developer Standards** – Collaborate on coding patterns, service templates, and reusable components for consistency • **Drive Continuous Improvement** – Identify gaps and prototype solutions to reduce friction and increase engineering velocity **Required Qualifications** • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT, or equivalent experience • 2+ years software development experience (Python, TypeScript/JavaScript) • REST APIs and microservices experience • GitLab CI/CD pipeline familiarity • Demonstrated use of AI-assisted coding tools (Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, etc.) • Cloud platform knowledge (AWS, Azure, or GCP) • Strong communication and collaboration skills **Preferred Qualifications** • Internal developer tooling experience • Infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, CDK, CloudFormation) • Container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) • Identity and access management integrations (OAuth, SAML, LDAP, Entra ID) **Compensation & Benefits** 💰 $100,000 USD ✈️ Competitive Total Compensation including RSUs and PSUs, onsite healthcare, comprehensive medical/dental/vision, paid parental leave, daily lunch, and flight lessons **Work Environment** Primarily office-based with hybrid work arrangements.
