**Data Platform Engineer | Data & Platform** **About the Role** BETA Technologies is seeking a Data Platform Engineer to design, deploy, and operate the data and knowledge infrastructure powering the organization. You'll combine software and data engineering with cloud-native architectures, graph databases, and API design to build robust, scalable production systems. **Key Responsibilities** • Design and operate scalable data platform services and frameworks • Implement data integration solutions across product lifecycle • Build and maintain data lakes, warehouses, and graph databases • Create enterprise data catalog capabilities • Develop performant data access layers (GraphQL, REST APIs) • Deploy and manage production data systems on cloud infrastructure • Implement data quality and lineage solutions • Build CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code • Partner on DataOps practices and data governance • Contribute to collaborative team environment **Minimum Qualifications** • Bachelor's in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or equivalent • 3+ years building and shipping data/platform infrastructure in production • Strong software engineering fundamentals • Production experience with cloud-based data services (preferably AWS) • Experience with graph databases (Neo4j, Neptune, Stardog) • API design experience with GraphQL knowledge • Proficiency in Python, SQL, and modern data engineering tools • Data pipeline and modeling experience • CI/CD, infrastructure as code, and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) • Strong troubleshooting and communication skills **Nice to Have** • 5+ years operating production data platforms at scale • Semantic technologies and knowledge graphs experience • AI-assisted development tools experience • Distributed computing (Spark) and streaming architectures (Kafka, Kinesis) • Metadata management and data catalog platforms • Data lineage and quality solutions at scale • Monitoring and observability for data systems • Regulated industry or complex governance experience • Aerospace/manufacturing data standards knowledge • IoT and time-series data management **Compensation & Benefits** $105,000 – $125,000 USD Competitive total compensation including RSUs and PSUs, onsite healthcare, comprehensive medical/dental/vision, disability coverage, paid parental leave, daily lunch, flight lessons, and additional perks. **About BETA** BETA Technologies is revolutionizing electric aviation.
