This role supports the Electronic Medical Records (EMR) development team (8 analysts) providing service support, impactful analysis, and quality project delivery. The work supports more than 50 outpatient clinics and 10 inpatient units across diverse service lines. **Epic experience is highly desirable**, including: - Epic Stork - EpicCare Ambulatory - EpicCare Inpatient Clin-Doc - EpicCare Inpatient Orders If not currently certified in a clinical application, the expectation is to obtain **Epic proficiency with Honors** in a clinical application within **30 days of hire**. **Hybrid work schedule eligible.** ## Experience & Education **Required** - **High School Diploma** - **5 years** of computer operation, programming, or IT experience in a business setting (or equivalent) - Including **at least 1 year** as Software Systems Specialist I (or equivalent) - An equivalent combination of education and directly related experience may be substituted. ## Job Duties - Analyze software system problems of moderate complexity and implement solutions - Perform programming, testing, and documentation - Recommend and design system routines to efficiently use computer system resources; oversee implementation - May specialize in system software areas (e.g., telecommunications or information systems) with responsibility for implementation and maintenance - Plan enhancements/modifications; identify impacts of changes - Train Software Systems Specialists I as required - Perform other duties as assigned ## Security & EEO Statement - **Security-sensitive position**: subject to Texas Education Code 51.215 (criminal history record information may be obtained) - **Equal Opportunity**: UT Southwestern prohibits unlawful discrimination based on protected characteristics.
