During the interview process, we focus on how you think and how you can explain your approach. --- **Role: Sr Software Engineer, Monetization Engineering** We’re looking for inquisitive, well-rounded senior Full-stack and backend engineers to join our Monetization Engineering teams. You’ll work closely with product managers, designers, and engineers to enable new technologies and experiences—building robust frameworks and features, empowering both developers and Pinners, and driving initiatives from inception through technical design, implementation, and release. --- **What you’ll do** - Build full-stack, Pinner-facing features to power the future of inspiration on Pinterest - Contribute to and lead product development from ideation → implementation → release (including rapid prototyping, A/B testing, and scalable architecture) - Partner with design, product, and backend teams to deliver end-to-end functionality - Wear your “Pinner hat” to suggest new product ideas and features - Use automated testing to deliver high-quality technical work and take ownership of components/features - Grow by collaborating with world-class peers on varied, high-impact projects --- **What we’re looking for** - Minimum 4 years of industry full-stack or backend development experience building consumer or business-facing products - Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science) or equivalent experience - Proficiency in one or more common backend/frontend stacks (e.g., JavaScript, React, APIs, storage, caching, data processing) - Experience writing reliable, maintainable code following best practices - Ability to stay current with new technologies and understand what to adopt - Strong collaboration and communication skills --- **Location / Work model** - **Not eligible for relocation assistance** - **In-office requirement:** in the office for in-person collaboration **1–2 times per month**; role can be situated anywhere in the **Bay Area, Seattle, or New York City** --- **Compensation (US applicants only)** - Base salary range: **$155,584 – $320,320 USD** - Equity eligibility: **Yes** - Final compensation depends on factors including location, travel, relevant experience, and skills/expertise --- **Commitment to Inclusion** Pinterest is an equal opportunity employer and makes employment decisions based on merit.
