**Security Risk Analyst, Risk Engineering** **About the Role** Anthropicis rebuilding risk management as an engineering function. The Security Risk team identifies, prioritizes, and drives treatment of critical security risks using automation, quantitative analysis, and AI-native platforms. You'll help define what replaces conventional GRC playbooks for frontier AI companies, with direct influence on CISO-level decisions. **Key Responsibilities** • Enable leadership to make risk-informed decisions through documented analyses with clear tradeoffs • Lead quantitative risk analysis using FAIR methodology, calibrated estimation, and simulation • Partner with Security Engineering to assess threats and right-size security investment • Frame escalations with clear recommendations, honest uncertainty statements, and re-evaluation triggers • Shape leadership risk reviews and help define organizational risk appetite and metrics • Use AI and automation to scale analysis while maintaining quality and trustworthiness • Convert one-off analyses into reusable methods and training for partner teams **You May Be a Good Fit If You** • Own security/technology risk analysis end-to-end (qualitative and quantitative) with demonstrated impact on decisions • Have hands-on FAIR quantification experience including scenario decomposition, calibrated estimation, and Monte Carlo simulation • Thrive in ambiguity and drive toward decisions rather than reports • Put defensible severity/likelihood on ambiguous problems and state uncertainty honestly • Have technical security depth to decompose attack paths with engineers • Can compress complex risk positions into clear, defensible summaries for leadership • Use Claude or other LLMs as daily tools with critical review • Are collaborative, low-ego, and care about AI safety **Compensation & Logistics** 💰 $270,000–$345,000 USD annually 📍 Hybrid (minimum 25% office time) 🎓 Bachelor's degree or equivalent in relevant field ✅ Visa sponsorship available **We encourage applications even if you don't meet every qualification.** Anthropic values diverse perspectives and is committed to supporting underrepresented groups in AI.
