**2027 Summer Intern, MS/PhD, Software Engineer, Eval Data Infra** **About Waymo** Waymo is an autonomous driving technology company building the Waymo Driver—the world's most experienced driver. The Waymo Driver has provided over 10 million rider-only trips and has autonomously driven over 100 million miles on public roads. **About the Role** The Planner Evaluation team is seeking data-minded software engineers to improve how we analyze and evaluate changes to the Onboard software stack and build data platform infrastructure to support ML launch evaluations for the Waymo Driver. **You Will:** • Develop data pipelines to generate high-quality ML and evaluation datasets • Design and implement tools and infrastructure for data mining, exploration, and analysis • Architect and maintain large-scale data platforms to process Waymo driving logs and simulation data • Collaborate cross-functionally with Data Science and Quantitative Analytics teams **You Have:** • Currently pursuing a Master's or PhD in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field • Hands-on experience with distributed systems that ingest, store, transform, and output data at scale • Proficiency in C++ or Python in a production environment • Strong technical communication and collaboration skills **We Prefer:** • Experience with A/B experiment infrastructure • SQL data analysis experience • Prior autonomous vehicle industry experience **Compensation & Benefits** • Masters: $70/hour | PhD: $85/hour • Medical, dental, and vision insurance • Housing/relocation bonus (if applicable) • Free meals, Google shuttles, onsite gym (hybrid onsite position) • Fun intern events and networking opportunities **Note:** Rolling applications until filled.
