You’ll bridge the gap between engineering and auditors by translating technical solutions into compliance-ready outcomes—partnering with auditors, regulators, business partners, and engineering teams to navigate complex regulatory landscapes and maintain world-class security standards. **The Difference You Will Make** As a key member of the Security Assurance team, you’ll help maintain and elevate Airbnb’s security posture. You’ll work on critical compliance initiatives such as **PCI** and **SOX**, establish and refine processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness, and collaborate cross-functionally to strengthen security practices and protect community trust. **A Typical Day** - Build and support a comprehensive compliance program (including requirements such as **PCI**) - Respond to security posture questionnaires to support ongoing compliance initiatives - Collaborate with external and internal auditors for **Test of Design** and **Test of Effectiveness** processes - Partner with stakeholders to understand operational needs and deliver realistic, risk-based remediation recommendations - Monitor remediation activities and build metrics/reports on testing and remediation results **Your Expertise** - **6+ years** of hands-on experience in Information Security Assurance, Governance, Risk, and Compliance - Deep understanding of regulatory frameworks (e.g., **PCI DSS, SOX, DORA, DFS 500**) - Strong security foundations to respond effectively to partner security posture questionnaires - Experience developing and implementing security controls and InfoSec policies - Ability to apply a **risk-based approach** to evaluating security weaknesses - Excellent communication skills across stakeholders; able to articulate security controls and business impact - Experience streamlining compliance processes, automating manual workflows, and managing audit readiness - Strong understanding of cybersecurity frameworks/standards (e.g., **NIST, ISO 27001, SOC 2, PCI DSS**) - Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams, executive management, and external stakeholders - **AWS, GitHub, Asana, and Microservices** experience preferred - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field; Master’s preferred **Your Location** **US - Remote Eligible.** The role may include occasional work at an Airbnb office or attendance at offsites as agreed with your manager.
