**Hardware Operations Engineer – VA (Hybrid)** **About Wasabi** Wasabi is a fast-growing cloud storage company known for challenging the norm and delivering the unexpected—making cloud storage simpler, faster, and more cost-effective. **Role Purpose** Wasabi is looking for a **Hardware Operations Engineer** to support and maintain a global server fleet (nearly **9,000 servers**). This is a **hands-on** role focused on keeping a **24x7x365** production environment running smoothly. **What you’ll do** - Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware issues (servers, storage, networking, cabling, power) in a live production data center - Write scripts in **Python** to automate repetitive fixes, run diagnostics at scale, and speed up ticket resolution - Partner with cross-functional teams (DevOps, supply chain, vendors) to keep spares stocked and hardware operations running smoothly - Help build dashboards and reporting tools to track hardware health and team workflow - Be available for **on-call/off-hours support** and travel to data center sites **Requirements** - **7+ years** of hands-on experience troubleshooting server, storage, or network hardware in a large-scale data center - Working knowledge of **Linux** and **Python** (comfortable writing scripts to automate hardware tasks) - Strong communication skills and ability to explain technical issues clearly to different audiences *Principals only.
