**VP, Product Engineering — Channels (Braze)** At Braze, we’re building a team that’s approachable, kind, and intensely passionate. We’re looking for a **VP of Engineering** to lead our **Channels** division—the action layer of the Braze platform where customers create rich messaging delivered to end users via channels such as **Email, Push, SMS/MMS/RCS, WhatsApp, LINE, In-App Messages, Content Cards, Banners, Landing Pages, Feature Flags, Webhooks**, and more. --- ## What you’ll do - Lead a **multi-team engineering division** through its next stage of **technical and product transformation**. - Partner closely with **Product and Design** to deliver best-in-class channel experiences. - Manage and grow the organization: **architecture design, team/skill growth, vision & goals, process & protocols, and hiring**. - Drive product outcomes across a differentiated channel portfolio, including how we build and position channels. - Mature systems into a more **modular, efficient platform**. - Lead the organization through the **AI transition**—building increasingly **intelligent, agentic channel products** and using **AI-assisted development** to raise velocity and quality. --- ## Who you are - Experience as a manager of experienced managers with a track record of **transformative success**. - A high-energy, ambitious, durable leader. - A strong people leader who can build a **world-class team**. - A technical leader who can operate from **high-level vision** down to detailed technology decisions. - Deep credibility in **large-scale distributed systems**, able to partner with senior engineers on **architecture, reliability, and cost efficiency**. - Fluent in **AI-assisted engineering**, with an informed point of view on how AI agents and tooling change engineering organizations. - A process leader who knows when to **add or remove processes** to maximize execution. - An excellent communicator and writer, with leadership visible in the artifacts you create. --- ## Compensation & benefits (US) For candidates based in the United States, the starting pay range is expected to be **$284,762–$480,536/year**, with expected **OTE of $320,000–$540,000/year** (including bonus or commission). Exact offers vary by factors such as location and experience. This role also includes a comprehensive Total Rewards package with **equity (RSUs)**.
