## Test Engineer ### Responsibilities - Provide advanced testing and engineering support for **Defense Health Agency (DHA)** systems in support of the **Solution Delivery Division (SDD)**. - Ensure operational effectiveness, maintainability, interoperability, security, and alignment with mission/business requirements across the system lifecycle. - Support modernization and optimization of DHA’s **Application Lifecycle Management Tools (ALMT)** within secure military health environments, adhering to **Federal/DoD/DHA guidance** and **ISO/IEC/IEEE 15288**. **Key Responsibilities** - **Product Testing & Evaluation:** Execute functional, integration, regression, and performance testing for hardware and software to verify requirements. - **System Integration Testing:** Perform interoperability, end-to-end, regression, and performance testing. - **Test Script & Test Plan Development:** Develop and maintain test plans, scripts, and cases; create and report on system test plans and after-action reports. - **Test Case Analysis & Reporting:** Track anomalies (e.g., **Jira**), provide progress reports with traceability, support defect triage, and perform root-cause analysis. - **Documentation & Reporting:** Produce test reports, operational readiness assessments, and technical briefings for leadership and government stakeholders. - **IT Systems Development Participation:** Contribute across development phases with emphasis on requirements analysis, test design, and tool selection. - **Requirements Analysis & Engineering Principles:** Ensure testing is integrated early and executed methodically and compliantly. - **Cybersecurity Verification:** Coordinate with cybersecurity personnel to ensure compliance with **DoD RMF** and maintain auditable evidence. - **Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement:** Work with senior technical professionals, user staff, and stakeholders to meet operational and business requirements. ### Qualifications - **5 years with BS/BA** or **9 years with a high school diploma**. - Proven experience in **technical documentation**, **system architecture**, and **engineering analysis**. - Strong analytical/problem-solving skills and attention to detail. - **DoD security clearance (ADP II Public Trust)** or ability to obtain one. - Exceptional collaboration and communication skills. - Experience with **test and evaluation** processes for IT systems. - Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams. - **Must be a US Citizen**. ### Preferred Qualifications - Testing experience in **DoD or Federal** environments. - Knowledge of **ISO/IEC/IEEE 15288**, DoD/DHA guidance, and lifecycle management. - Experience with **AI-driven automation** to optimize software delivery and code quality. - Commitment to continuous professional development. ### Company Overview **Peraton** is a next-generation national security company and mission capability integrator delivering trusted enterprise IT solutions for government agencies. ### Target Salary Range **$66,000 – $106,000** (typical range; final offer depends on factors such as experience, education, location, and contract/business considerations).
