Our culture is built on iteration—using AI to ship faster today and make it better tomorrow—while sharing improvements across the team. **Available Location** - Bengaluru, India **About the Role** Cloudflare’s Engineering Platform and Productivity team builds a self-service, resilient, and scalable platform using a mix of Open Source projects, intellectual property, and internal infrastructure. You’ll build and manage tools that help engineers deploy and operate the services that make Cloudflare work. The role includes both software engineering and DevOps operational responsibilities, with a strong focus on delivering an excellent developer experience. This role also focuses on **Agentic Engineering**—building internal tools for engineers to leverage modern AI agents, models, and agentic practices, including **MCP servers, agentic IDEs, autonomous agents, evals**, and improvements to Cloudflare’s internal SDLC and context engineering at scale. **Experience** - 3–12 years **Responsibilities** - Design and build developer productivity tooling, including **MCP servers and agents** - Drive initiatives that make engineers happier and more productive - Help respond and prevent incidents impacting core platforms - Harden the platform against security threats and resource contention issues - Improve **GitOps** systems and practices - Work with application teams to understand challenges and help choose the best system architecture **Desirable Skills / Knowledge / Experience** - Ability to work with codebases in **Bash, TypeScript, and Go** - Excellent debugging skills - Source control experience (branching, merging, rebasing) - Strong problem decomposition skills; ability to discuss options, trade-offs, and drive efforts to resolution **Bonus Points** - Experience guiding/building platforms across multiple zones and regions to enable distributed, highly available applications - Prior experience in a platform engineering / engineering productivity team **What Makes Cloudflare Special?** Cloudflare is committed to protecting the free and open Internet, including initiatives like **Project Galileo**, the **Athenian Project**, and **1.1.1.1** (a faster, more secure, privacy-centric public DNS resolver). *Note:* Applicants progressing to the offer stage may be asked to attend an in-person interview at a Cloudflare office/hub.
