**Investment Compliance Technical Lead** **About Casper Studios** AI services firm helping companies implement AI strategically. 45-person team, 30+ clients, partnerships with major enterprises and model providers. **The Role** Lead a transformational project for a trillion-dollar AUM asset manager. You'll redesign how they manage Investment Management Agreements (IMAs)—currently a manual, error-prone process of searching PDFs and copying terms into spreadsheets. Build a structured, searchable compliance system where rules understand effective dates, preserve amendment history, and trace back to source clauses. **Key Responsibilities** • Map how restrictions, benchmarks, and exceptions are currently expressed across IMAs and systems • Design the semantic model and canonical vocabulary for consistent rule representation • Work with legal, compliance, and investment teams to turn guideline language into computable rules • Structure limits, ratings, benchmarks, breaches, and remediation logic • Ensure full traceability with auditable change control • Prototype the platform and establish validation practices **Required Experience** • Rules engines (Drools, DMN, Camunda, OPA) or decision-modeling • Temporal/versioned data models and knowledge graphs/semantic modeling • Audit trails, provenance tracking, and document extraction • Investment compliance coding (Charles River, Aladdin, Sentinel, Bloomberg AIM) • Understanding of asset management workflows and IMA/mandate structures • High agency, strong writing, senior-level client communication **Why It's Hard to Fill** Most candidates excel in either compliance OR engineering.
