**SITEC - Firewall Network Engineer - MacDill AFB** **About the Role** Peraton seeks a Network Engineer - Cisco Firewall Senior Specialist to support USSOCOM's Special Operations Forces Information Technology Enterprise Contract (SITEC-3). This position is located at MacDill AFB, Florida, and provides critical Operations and Maintenance services for global special operations forces 24x7x365. **Key Responsibilities** • Design, deploy, and maintain Cisco FTD firewall architecture managed via FMC • Support enterprise network segmentation and secure connectivity across on-premises infrastructure • Integrate Zero Trust frameworks within Cisco FTD/FMC security environments • Develop policies, centralized intrusion rules, and threat-intelligence integration • Provide advanced troubleshooting and resolve complex technical issues independently • Document procedures, SOPs, and lead compliance audits • Mentor junior staff and provide strategic guidance for network security architecture • Conduct security assessments and vulnerability scans • Support shift work and weekend availability as required **Required Qualifications** • DoD TS/SCI clearance required • DoD 8140 compliant (Work Role Code 441 - Network Operations Specialist, Intermediate+) • Experience requirement: 12 yrs (HS), 10 yrs (AA/AS), 8 yrs (BA/BS), 6 yrs (MA/MS), or 3 yrs (PhD) • Extensive Cisco FTD/FMC administration experience • Network automation proficiency (Python, PowerShell, Cisco FMC REST APIs) • Enterprise security and VPN solutions expertise • Monitoring, incident response, and SIEM experience • Strong technical documentation and communication skills **Desired Qualifications** • CCNP Security • Cisco Certified Specialist - Network Security Firepower (300-710 SNCF) • CCIE Security **Compensation** $104,000 - $166,000 (based on experience, education, and location) EOE: Equal opportunity employer, including disability and protected veterans.
