**Engineering Manager** **About the Role** Lead a high-performing engineering team at the intersection of payments, money movement, and financial infrastructure. You'll own technical health, execution, and culture while partnering closely with leadership on hiring, roadmap, and organizational planning. **Key Responsibilities** • Lead and grow an engineering team building complex, high-scale systems • Own sprint planning, architectural direction, and team culture • Engage hands-on in system design and technical decisions • Partner with Head of Engineering on strategy and hiring • Work with external partners, compliance, and cross-functional teams • Champion thoughtful AI tooling adoption across the team **What We're Looking For** • Several years of engineering management experience (ideally backend teams) • Strong technical depth in system design and architecture • Experience in fintech, payments, or card infrastructure • Track record scaling teams and systems • Cross-functional collaboration skills • High standards for code quality and communication • Enthusiasm for AI tools in software development **Compensation & Benefits** 💰 $230,000–$300,000 + equity + benefits 🏥 100% health, vision & dental coverage (primary) ➕ 75% dependent coverage 🍱 Catered meals 🚎 $250/month commuter benefit 👶 Parental leave ✈️ Team building events 🌴 Flexible PTO (15+ days/year) 💼 401(k) plan 🚛 Relocation assistance **Location** San Francisco, CA (Jackson Square) — 5 days/week in office
