**Software Engineer - Full-Stack** **About Cardless** Cardless is building infrastructure for companies to design, build, and launch their own financial products. We work with companies like Coinbase and Bilt to create branded credit cards while handling lending, compliance, and operations behind the scenes. Recently raised $60M Series C (total $170M funded). Team of 70+ scaling toward profitability by end of 2026. **The Role** Join us as an experienced full-stack engineer to build user-facing experiences for our co-branded credit card platform used by hundreds of thousands daily. You'll own our component library and design system, build consumer app features, create internal tools for operations and risk teams, and set architectural patterns that keep everything consistent and scalable as we grow. **What You'll Do** • Own and evolve our component library and design system • Build and ship features in our consumer app (onboarding through account management) • Design internal tools for operations and risk teams • Take projects from concept to production • Partner with product, design, backend, risk, and compliance teams • Drive improvements in performance, accessibility, and developer experience • Contribute to frontend platform architectural decisions **What We're Looking For** • 5+ years frontend engineering experience at scale (3+ years with React) • Strong fundamentals: state management, component architecture, accessibility, testing • Experience building/maintaining component libraries or design systems • Ability to work across consumer, partner, and internal surfaces • Proven track record delivering complex projects end-to-end • Clear communicator, quick learner • Comfortable in fast-moving, ambiguous environments **Bonus**: Fintech/payments experience, micro-frontend architectures, Next.js, TailwindCSS, React Native, Yarn monorepos, API design knowledge **Compensation & Benefits** $175K–$275K + equity + benefits • 100% health/vision/dental coverage (75% dependent) • Meaningful startup equity • Catered lunches, $250/month commuter benefit • Parental leave, flexible PTO (15+ days/year) • Apple equipment, 401k, team events **Location**: San Francisco, CA (Jackson Square office) — 5 days/week in-office
