## Mid-Level Network Engineer (Federal Strategic Cyber) **Location:** On-site, Quantico, VA ### Responsibilities - Design, install, maintain, and optimize network and communications systems - Troubleshoot and resolve network issues across protocols, topologies, and hardware environments - Assist with architecture design, feasibility assessments, and cost studies - Gather user network requirements and develop technical documentation, system security requirements, and test plans - Implement security and infrastructure improvements to ensure performance and reliability - Support Continuity of Operations (COOP) as needed - Participate in design, deployment, testing, certification, patching, and interoperability for features/components including: - Switches, firewalls, load balancers - Software-defined networking (SDN) - Private cloud infrastructure - Collaborate with team members to develop new network designs and improve services - Apply technical and business experience to improve processes for deploying and maintaining network solutions ### Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree **and** 5+ years of experience, **or** Associate’s degree **and** 7+ years of experience - Additional 4 years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a bachelor’s degree - Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in network engineering, system administration, or cybersecurity - Proficiency in network troubleshooting, infrastructure design, and security implementation - Knowledge of network protocols and security best practices (e.g., TCP/IP, VPN, DNS, BGP) - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail - **U.S. citizenship required** - **Current/active TS/SCI clearance** and ability to obtain/pass a polygraph ### Preferred Qualifications - Experience with SDN and cloud-based network infrastructure - Hands-on experience with network monitoring tools, automation scripting, and cybersecurity frameworks ### Compensation - **Target Salary Range:** $104,000 – $166,000 - Salary varies based on factors including scope/responsibilities, experience, education, skills, and geographic/business considerations - Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus ### About Peraton Peraton is a next-generation national security company providing mission-focused solutions and enterprise IT to protect our nation and allies. **EEO:** Equal opportunity employer, including disability and protected veterans, or other characteristics protected by law.
