Our team is **120 people, 100% remote**, focused on building Close so small, scaling businesses don’t fail because they can’t figure out sales. ## About the Role — Sr. Frontend Engineer, Marketing Close.com is a critical touchpoint in our customer journey and a key part of our acquisition funnel. As the **technical owner of the website**, you’ll maintain, optimize, and instrument **Close.com**—working closely with Marketing (including a Marketing Designer) while reporting through Engineering. ### What you’ll do - **Build and continuously improve** a world-class marketing website (responsive, interactive, polished) - Ship **new pages** and raise the bar on core site functionality - Own **performance, technical SEO**, and how the site is understood by **search engines and AI agents** - Manage the **platform and infrastructure** behind the site (Sanity), including components, integrations, and deployment - Ensure **measurement integrity**: tracking, attribution, conversion events, and funnel data flow reliably into our marketing/data systems - Partner on **experiments** and help implement tracking correctly - Build tools/automations so **Marketing can self-serve** and the site can “self-improve” (e.g., catching regressions, flagging performance/SEO issues) - Stretch beyond the site as an engineering resource to Marketing when needed ### What we’re looking for - **5+ years** building conversion-focused websites (often long-term ownership, not just short-term agency work) - Strong skills in **motion, ambitious CSS, and rich media** - A modern stack mindset (e.g., **Astro + headless CMS** like Sanity) - Fluent in **measurement and experimentation** (cookies, conversion events, analytics) - Experience with tools such as **Segment, Amplitude, or Customer.io** - Strong focus on **conversion and impact** (traffic → conversion → revenue) - Ability to empower non-technical teammates with **guardrails, automations, and tooling** - Resourceful, collaborative, and comfortable bridging **Marketing + Engineering** - Practical, discerning use of **AI** to move faster—while knowing when craftsmanship matters ## Benefits - **Compensation:** Competitive pay + organization-wide goal-based bonus - **Paid Time Off:** ~**5 weeks** PTO to start, plus a **1-week Winter Holiday Break** and paid US holidays - **Extra PTO:** Earn **2 additional days** for every year with Close - **80% Work Option:** Choose a **4-day week at 80% pay** or a standard **5-day week** with your manager - **Parental Leave:** Paid leave for primary and secondary caregivers - **Sabbatical:** **1-month paid** sabbatical every 5 years - **Healthcare (US residents):** Two medical plans (Close covers **99%** of premium) + Dental, Vision, HSA, FSA, and company-paid Long-Term Disability - **401k (US residents):** Match up to **6%**, vested immediately ## Values - **Build a house you want to live in** — long-term thinking and action - **No BS** — transparency and honesty, especially when it’s hard - **Invest in each other** — build successful relationships - **Discipline equals freedom** — keep your word - **Strive for greatness** — constantly challenge yourself and others ## Hiring Process (high level) - Role-specific questions during application - We use AI tools daily and expect ca
