**Hudson River Trading (HRT)** is seeking a **Middle Office Analyst** to join our team in **New York**, with a background supporting **FX trading products**. The Middle Office team ensures the smooth operation of HRT’s post-trade platform—reconciling HRT’s trading with brokers and counterparties across asset classes and geographies. You’ll also collaborate with multiple teams to research corporate actions, maintain commissions programs, and track costs incurred by HRT’s trading. --- ## Responsibilities - Monitor and resolve daily **position, trade, and cash discrepancies** with external counterparties to support effective book management - Partner with internal stakeholders to identify and implement improvements to current workflows - Document complex processes to develop middle office guidelines - Onboard new trading into existing technology and platforms - Reconcile daily **position, cash, and PnL breaks** with internal and external parties - Research and process applicable **corporate actions** - Maintain and update **commission structures** across all markets --- ## Qualifications - **3–5 years** of relevant financial markets experience, preferably connected to an **FX trading desk** - Working knowledge of **FX products** (spot, forwards, swaps, non-deliverable forwards (NDFs), and options), including trade lifecycles and settlement processes - Hands-on experience with FX post-trade matching/confirmation/settlement platforms (e.g., **Traiana**, **MarkitWire**) strongly preferred - Strong hands-on **Python** experience for data analysis, workflow automation, and operational tooling in a **Linux** environment - Experience with **SQL** and relational databases - Excellent cross-functional communication and collaboration skills - Ability to take ownership, admit mistakes, and learn from them - Ability to debug, analyze, and troubleshoot quickly under pressure - Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment --- ## Compensation & Benefits - Estimated base salary range: **$120,000–$160,000 USD/year** (or local equivalent) - Discretionary performance-based bonuses and a competitive benefits package --- ## Culture HRT brings a **scientific approach** to trading and has built one of the world’s most sophisticated computing environments for research and development.
