**Engineering Manager, Dashboards** Smartsheet is building the next chapter of work—uniting human teams with AI agents to automate manual tasks and uncover insights at scale. The Dashboards team creates the data visualization experiences that help customers turn raw information into clear, executive-ready insight. ## What you’ll do - Lead, coach, and grow a team of engineers across experience levels, fostering technical excellence, ownership, and continuous improvement - Own roadmap creation and prioritization for Dashboards in partnership with Product and Design—turning customer/business needs into a clear, sequenced plan - Drive predictable delivery from scoping through launch, balancing quality, speed, and technical debt - Build and evolve team structure and ways of working (planning cadence, on-call, sprint/Scrumban, etc.) as the team grows - Partner with engineering and product leadership to define and execute strategy for AI-powered dashboard and analytics features, including work on Databricks and modern data infrastructure - Interview, hire, and onboard engineers to build a high-performing, diverse team - Coach and develop direct reports with career growth planning, regular feedback, and performance management - Create an inclusive team culture that supports engagement and development for engineers at every level - Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Design, and other engineering teams to ensure Dashboards integrates well with the broader platform - Communicate roadmap, delivery status, risks, and tradeoffs clearly to engineering and business leadership ## What you have - 2–3+ years managing medium to large engineering teams - Proven track record in project delivery, roadmap creation, and team/process building - Experience building and shipping AI-powered product features - Experience with Databricks or similar modern data platforms - Ability to succeed in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to shifting priorities - Strong communication skills—translating technical work into business impact - Experience coaching and developing engineers across a range of experience levels (early-career through senior/principal) ## Location / work model - Remote eligible (work remotely from anywhere in the US where Smartsheet is registered) - Reports to Sr Manager, Engineering ## Compensation & benefits (highlights) - US base salary range: **$175,000–$245,000 USD** (plus a market competitive incentive opportunity) - Employer-subsidized medical/vision/dental - 401(k) match (50% of contribution up to the first 6% of eligible pay) - Monthly stipend for work/productivity - Flexible Time Away + Sick Time Off - Parental leave (up to 24 weeks) - 12 paid holidays per year - Volunteer day + professional development support (e.g., Udemy access) - Teleworking options from any registered US location (role specific) *#LI-Remote* Smartsheet is an Equal Opportunity Employer committed to fostering an inclusive environment.
