**Software Engineer** ## The Opportunity We’re looking for a passionate and skilled **Software Engineer** to join our fast-growing engineering teams. You’ll help revolutionize **healthcare billing products and systems** that directly address customer needs. You’ll contribute to the **full software development lifecycle**, ensuring our products are **highly scalable, reliable, and performant**—and that we deliver an excellent customer experience. ## What You’ll Be Doing - Write **clean, well-documented, testable, and maintainable** code. - **Design, develop, and maintain** complex features, with ownership over large parts of our products and systems. - Collaborate with **product managers** and other engineers to understand customer needs and build creative solutions. - Contribute to **architecture and system design**, with **scalability and reliability** as core principles. - Help shape our **engineering culture**. ## Who You Are - You have a **B.S. or B.A.** in **Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Math**, or a similar degree. - You have **3+ years** of experience in a Software Engineering role. - Experience with our current stack is a plus (not required): **Python, PostgreSQL, Docker, Kubernetes, React, TypeScript, Google Cloud Platform, Auth0, Terraform**. - You build high-quality software with strong **outcome focus** and good judgment about tradeoffs. - You enjoy owning features **end-to-end** and are comfortable learning new tools or moving across the stack. - You have a **customer-first, learner’s mindset** and value **teaching others**. - You’re a clear communicator—able to explain complex ideas simply, both in writing and in person. ## Pay Transparency The estimated starting annual salary range for this position is **$140,000 to $220,000 USD**. The listed range is a guideline from **Pave** (https://www.pave.com/), and the actual base salary may be modified based on job-related skills, experience/qualifications, interview performance, market data, etc. Total compensation may also include **equity**, **sales incentives** (for sales roles), and **employee benefits**. Given Candid Health’s funding and size, equity upside is heavily valued. Candid Health has **minimal hierarchy and titles**, with broad ranges of experience represented within roles.
