## Software Engineer - Infrastructure ### About Camunda Camunda is the enterprise platform for agentic orchestration—helping organizations coordinate AI agents, people, and systems across complex, end-to-end business processes with governance, auditability, and human oversight. Fully remote and global, Camunda is transforming into an AI-first organization built on its own platform. ### About the role Camunda treats its CI/CD infrastructure platform as an internal product. Your mission is to build a **Golden Path** that enables **150+ engineers across 20+ teams** to deliver with world-class velocity and uncompromising quality at scale—so engineers can focus on building the agentic technologies that define market leadership. You’ll design, implement, and run **CI/CD and artifact delivery systems**, scaling the platform using experience across **cloud, Kubernetes, and GitHub Actions**. **This role does not have on-calls.** ### What you will do - Develop, operate, and scale the high-load Camunda Infrastructure Platform used daily by product teams for thousands of jobs. - Ensure new product versions are reliably built and distributed to customers via artifact storage. - Identify and remove developer pain points in infrastructure, iterating toward smoother processes. - Partner with product teams as a service-oriented platform owner: provide capabilities, advise on best practices, and support adoption. - Contribute to the team’s roadmap, technical decisions, and long-term platform vision. ### What you will bring to the role **Must haves** - Growth mindset: curious, collaborative, and continuously improving systems and ways of working. - Core infrastructure experience in: - **Kubernetes** (production experience required) - **Infrastructure as Code** (Terraform, Pulumi, or Ansible) - **Cloud providers** (GCP, AWS, or Azure) - **High-scale CI systems** (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins with self-hosted runners) - Programming skills in at least one general-purpose language (e.g., **Python, Groovy, Go, JavaScript, and/or Java**). - Ability to thrive in remote, asynchronous teams and collaborate across teams. - Comfort using **AI-first approaches** in engineering. **Nice to haves** - Backend engineering background. - T-shaped profile / broad technical curiosity. - Enjoy defining, documenting, and driving technical best practices. ### Location / Work model - **Fully remote** ### Compensation & benefits (high level) - Competitive, transparent, location-based salary ranges (US/UK/Singapore listed in the original posting). - Equity where applicable via Virtual Stock Option Plan (VSOP). - Remote & flexible work, wellbeing support, learning budget, and additional benefits. ### Hiring notes - Camunda may use AI tools during screening and interviews. - Everyone is welcome at Camunda; equal opportunity employer. - **Scam warning:** Camunda will only contact candidates from email addresses ending in **@camunda.com** or **@talent.camunda.com** and will not request sensitive financial information. *Job reference: #LI-AG1 #LI-Remote #C1 #LI-DNI*
