## Camunda — Engineering Manager (Infrastructure) ### About the Role Camunda is the enterprise platform for agentic orchestration—helping organizations coordinate AI agents, people, and systems across complex, end-to-end business processes with governance, auditability, and human oversight. This role focuses on Camunda’s **CI/CD infrastructure platform**, treated as an internal product. You’ll lead a **high-leverage remote team of 4 infrastructure engineers** and help evolve the platform toward a **scalable, zero-toil “Golden Path”**—so engineers can deliver with world-class velocity and quality at scale, while minimizing developer toil. ### What You’ll Be Doing - **Continuously deliver and improve** the infrastructure platform. - Lead a **massive reduction of manual work** using an **AI-driven engineering approach**, aiming for a **zero-touch scalable infrastructure** (e.g., AI-assisted dependency management, incident resolution, cloud cost optimization, and developer support). - Own the **quality surge strategy**: prepare, define, and ensure execution for scaling **CI/CD and artifact distribution systems** without increasing engineering toil. - **Grow, mentor, and coach** the team by setting clear expectations, providing actionable feedback, and fostering a culture of **empathy, autonomy, and continuous improvement** in an asynchronous, remote environment. ### What You Bring - Ability and/or willingness to use Camunda’s product: https://accounts.cloud.camunda.io/signup - **People leadership experience**: proven track record growing engineers to senior and beyond. - **Strong stakeholder leadership**: translate technical needs into an actionable engineering roadmap and strategy across teams. - **Senior-level technical depth**, including hands-on experience with: - Cloud providers (e.g., **GCP, AWS**, or similar) - **Kubernetes** (any distribution) - **Infrastructure as Code** (e.g., **Terraform, ArgoCD**, or similar) - Scaling high-load **CI/CD** systems (e.g., **GitHub Actions** with self-hosted runners, or similar) - Backend engineering background; fluent in at least one programming language (e.g., **Python**) - Comfortable reviewing complex architecture and code; eager to contribute hands-on when needed (e.g., internal workflow automations). - Proven track record ensuring team efficiency in remote, async-first environments. ### Nice-to-Haves - Experience transforming teams into **AI-native** and/or **automation-first** teams - Background in technical product management or strong product thinking - Experience implementing **FinOps** practices and accountability ### Location / Work Model - **Fully remote** (role is marked **#LI-Remote**) ### Compensation & Benefits (Summary) - **Competitive, location-based salary ranges** (base + 100% variable target where applicable) - United States: **$172,600 – $278,300** - Canada: **C$183,300 – C$301,500** - United Kingdom: **£108,400 – £178,300** - Singapore: **S$214,400 – S$321,500** - Equity via **VSOP** (where applicable) - Remote & flexible work, wellbeing support, learning budget, and additional benefits (health, retirement/pension, insurance where relevant) ### Additional Notes - Camunda may use AI tools during screening/interviews: https://camunda.com/ai-in-our-interviewing-process/ - **Everyone is welcome at Camunda** (equal opportunity employer). - Scams: Camunda will only contact candidates from emails ending in **@camunda.com** or **@talent.camunda.com** and wi
