Camunda is fully remote and global, and is transforming into an AI-first organization built on its own platform. ## Role: Senior Software Engineer (Kubernetes) We’re seeking a talented engineer to develop and maintain **Kubernetes Operators** for our **Camunda 8 SaaS** offering. You’ll help ensure the reliability of our cloud platform by managing numerous customer clusters and solving complex challenges across **Kubernetes**, **infrastructure automation**, and **multi-cloud deployments** across **GCP and AWS**. ## What You’ll Be Doing - **Design, develop, and maintain Kubernetes Operators** to manage the Camunda SaaS offering. - **Collaborate cross-functionally** with product, engineering, and field teams to define, ship, and iterate on features. - **Improve existing codebases** with a focus on **security, stability, and reliability**. - **Advocate for new ideas** and help build a team culture that values creativity and practicality. - Participate in an **on-call rotation** and provide **3rd-level escalation support**. ## What You Bring - Ability and/or willingness to use our product: https://accounts.cloud.camunda.io/signup - Experience using **Go** (or another relevant language) for cloud-native development. - Practical experience with at least one major cloud provider: **AWS, Azure, or GCP**. - Hands-on experience with **Kubernetes** and strong understanding of core concepts. - Collaborative, knowledge-sharing mindset and a positive engineering culture. - Pragmatic, autonomous approach to programming and problem solving. - **“You build it, you run it”** mentality, with a passion for automation and raising the quality bar. ## Nice-to-Haves - Experience writing and maintaining Kubernetes Operators (e.g., **Controller-Runtime & Kubebuilder**). - Familiarity with infrastructure topics like **multi-region/multi-cloud** setups (e.g., **Crossplane**). ## Location / Work Model - **Fully remote** - Role reference: **#LI-SK1 #LI-Remote #USEAST** ## Compensation & Benefits (Summary) - **Competitive, fair, and transparent compensation** with location-based salary ranges (final offers depend on skills, experience, and location). - **Equity** where applicable via Camunda’s **Virtual Stock Option Plan (VSOP)**. - **Benefits & perks** include remote & flexible work support, health & wellbeing programs, learning budget, retirement/pension plans, and more. ## Important Notes - Camunda may use AI tools during screening/interviews. - **Everyone is welcome at Camunda**—Camunda is an equal opportunity employer. - Beware of scams: Camunda will only contact candidates from emails ending in **@camunda.com** or **@talent.camunda.com** and will never ask for bank account details, checks, payment, or other sensitive financial information. - Camunda does not accept unsolicited agency resumes.
